This is not an exhaustive list, but here are some of the things I've come up with that I would love to do before I die. I plan on living for a long time, so am in no hurry to get these all checked off.
*Vacation in New Zealand. I especially want to go
"river boarding"
and zorbing
--both of which I saw on the Amazing Race a few seasons back.
*Serve a full-time mission for my church with Andrew.
*Have a scrapbooking layout published.
*One summer I want to take a trip across the country to watch games at several different major league baseball stadiums. Andrew and I used to say we wanted to visit all the stadiums in a summer. I've downgraded my expectations, but still want to do something like that.
*Finish my Bachelor's Degree.
*Go to the Hill Cumorah Pageant in New York.

*Become a GOOD visiting teacher. You know, the kind who calls the women on her list more than once in the month, remembers birthdays, and is a true friend. Right now I think I'm mediocre at best.
*Play tennis, volleyball, and/or softball competitively again. I don't know how competitive I'd actually be in any of these sports at this point in my life, but I'd like to try.*Become a better piano player again. I think this would probably require owning a piano.
*Get a pedicure and manicure. I've never had either one before.

*Have regular personal scripture study. In our family we're good at reading the scriptures with the kids and as a couple, but I've been slacking on my personal scripture study. I think it's a really important part of spiritual growth. I want to get into a good, regular routine where it's just part of my day.
What's on your list?

Good news! In 2007 daylight savings will not start til the first Sunday in Nov and will end in March. That gives us an extra week without it in the fall and an extra month in the spring, according to John. I'll have to send you the Internet link.
Love your list. They seem pretty attainable for you too. I'll have to think about mine.
I love your list! I may have to steal that idea on my own blog...I was thinking about this whole idea yesterday, actually...I was thinking about doing a scrapbook layout about "my last 30 years" and "my next 30 years". I'll have to get back to you on my own list, though!
Great list - I want to be able to make a blog like yours before I die.
Love,
Mom
Okay, I probably need to think about this for awhile before I comment, but here's what comes to my mind right now.
1. Sky Dive
I think I should've done this before I had a baby because I'd feel really guilty if something happened to me, but I still want to and always have. I think my dad wants to as well, maybe we could go together.
2. Play competitive tennis, basketball, or softball again.
I know, I'm copying you Andi, but that's a great one. I really loved sports in high school and miss playing competitively. Church ball is fun, but I can't let myself get too competitive there. (-:
3. Wake Board
I think I'll be able to get up on the wake board this summer with Forrest's new attachment to the boat, but last summer wake boarding kicked my behind! I still can't believe I couldn't do it.
4. Travel
I would love to go everywhere, but especially Africa, Peru, and Italy. I also want to go back to Cancun and Europe.
5. Pets
I believe that someday I'll have a cat and maybe a dog, but I wouldn't mind lots of other pets too. Rats, lizards, and snakes are all a lot of fun. Hopefully one day I'll have kids that want pets and they can be my excuse.
1. Travel. I'd especially like to see more of Europe, and get to both Africa and Asia at some point in my life.
2. Teach creative writing at the college level. Although Freshman Comp isn't too bad, I'd really love to teach students who are interested in writing and get beyond paragraphing, rhetorical strategies and grammar.
3. Publish a novel.
4. Stick with a regular excercise routine and maintain a size 10 without having to obsess about food all day long.
5. Read all the standard works at least once. (That means I've got to actually begin with "In The Beginning and keep going to the bitter end of the O.T. one of these days.)
6. Be a contestant on a game show. (Okay, so this one probably isn't ever going to happen . . . but wouldn't it be fun?)
That's it for now!
Angie
Oooh...I want to copy Angie and add a game show or reality TV show to my list. I've been trying and trying, but so far no luck. Maybe one of these years.
Great idea Ang, I'm copying you too. I would love to be a contestant on a game show.
Fun list--I saw similarities with my own! Mine is also not inclusive of everything, but here are some things at the top of the list:
1) Speak Spanish fluently
2) Play piano well (even when people sing along--ha!)
3) Go on a hot air balloon adventure (around the world in 80 days--here I come!)
4) Have many children!
5) Run in a marathon
6) Serve a mission
7) Finish this Master's degree that right now sounds really fun to quit!
