We've decided we want to become a bike-riding family. The big problem? Andrew and I don't have bikes. We have saved up some gift money and are hoping to buy some used ones, but haven't found the right ones yet. (Any bike-purchasing advice would be appreciated!) In the meantime, we do have one adult-ish sized bike that we bought for Brandon but is still too big for him.
We made a plan to go down the street to the park. One parent could walk and push Caroline in her stroller. The other would ride bikes with the kids. And we'd switch roles on the way back. It's only about a mile away, but is kinda hilly. Whit struggled a bit, but made it the whole way. Good job, girl! Brandon got a little frustrated that he had to slow down to wait for his sis, but he hung in there, too.
It was a gorgeous day to be at the park.
Here are the pics to prove it.

I love having 70 degree weather in November!
Do they still make bicycles built for two? ("Daisy, Daisy....")
Great pictures.
Look at my guns in the last picture. I'm totally flexing but pretending not to be....
Bur-Mil park has FREE bicycle rentals (adult size beach cruiser type bikes). So... you have another option while you are waiting to find Mr. and Mrs. Right Bikes.

It's always weird to look at your pictures of being outside with short sleeved shirts and no coats when I'm posting snowman pictures. The trees and grass and everything looks so pretty! As do your kids.
Drew--I thought your triceps always looked that way. :)
Nicolle--Thanks so much! Good info. We'll have to head up there one of these weekends.
Guns? You call those guns? Ah ha ha ha. You guys are too cute.
Sorry, didn't notice andrew flexing, the shirt was distracting me. Where do I get the sweet t-shirt with the sweater print??? hehe j/k

I am sooo jealous of these pictures - it's snowing right now. Everyone looks fabulous - including Uncle Rico!

Walmart actually has some good bikes for $100ish or less. John and I got them for our birthdays - just beach cruisers. Now we just have to get the bike trailer to pull Evan behind! Very fun.
Fun!! My only bike-buying advice is to no skimp and get the regular-sized-people bikes. Make sure you get bikes for ridiculously tall people! :)
