And Andrew and Brandon had front row seats for the action. Watch:
When he felt that he'd been up close and personal with the fish for long enough, Drew asked if I wanted a turn. I jokingly told him, "No way. Why do you think those fish are jumping OUT of the water? Predator. Underneath." I refused to go in for a while.
When we were back in the comfort of our hotel room, I was scrolling through some of the still photos I took while he was out there and look what we found:
Do you see that dark spot in the background?
Zoomed in:
When I first saw it, my heart skipped a beat.
Were we swimming out there with sharks????
But I think it was a dolphin.
What do you think?
This was the next photo in the series.
A sea monster?
We may never know.

Yikes! Just pretend it was dolphins. Everyone loves swimming with dolphins.
Scary! Although I asked Rob what he thought (he's my aquatic expert since his family is in the fish business) and he says it looks more like a porpoise than a shark. But I'm like you, any hint of something dangerous in the water and I'm done:)
And btw, all these beach pictures are only making me miss the beach even more... :)
Most likely a dolphin. No worries. But with those fish jumping you never know what else was closer in ...
I googled sharks and dolphins in North Carolina and this looks way more like a shark fin than the curved dolphin one...
Let's just say it's a shark fin, cause it's cooler that way. Now my brother is the author of the Twilight Rap AND he swims with sharks!
Seriously, though: eek!
No way! Really? This wasn't photo-shopped? Yikes you guys! Now I'm going to hum the Jaws "duh duh duh duh duh" background theme for the rest of the morning. I can't wait for Dennis to wake up so I can show him these pictures.
Be careful - I guess it really IS a jungle out there!
Have a good day today on dry land.

Mom--No photo shopping involved. Except to crop it. And add my lovely yellow arrows and text. Those are the pinnacle my photo shopping skills. :)
I say it's a shark! I'm with Ang, that's much cooler than a dolphin. Scary though. And the fish? Weird.
Ya, that is kinda scary! Glad everyone had fun in spite of.
"You're gonna need a bigger boat".
Cool. I vote for dolphin...because I sharks terrify me!
It was a shark. We ended up talking for a while out in the ocean. The shark's name was Jabber Jaw and he would NOT STOP TALKING!
Most definitely a shark. A big one. With huge teeth and plenty of them. Andrew was lucky to escape.
