It's strawberry season here in NC. We kept up our annual tradition of heading to
Bernie's Berries to pick our own. (Unfortunately, Andrew had my camera, so I don't have pics.) You'll have to take my word for it that Caroline, Whitney, and I picked two big buckets full of juicy red goodness. We ate most of them completely plain and savored the sweetness. But a select few got paired with another one of my favorite treats: CHOCOLATE.
Oh. my. goodness.
A little taste of heaven, I tell ya.
Why have I never made these before?
We have all vowed to make this a new part of the
berry tradition from now on.

Mmmm...good idea! I've kinda started a tradition of jam every year, but I love the idea of adding this loveliness to the event each year. Ü
Yum yum yum! We love those at our house, I remember serving them at Noah's baptism...they didn't last long :)
Did you melt your own chocolate? What kind? They look beautiful!
Natalie--I melted milk chocolate. In the baking aisle, they little cups made to put right in the microwave for dipping. But I think you can just microwave plain old chocolate chips and get the same effect. I microwaved for a minute at a time, stirring in between until the chocolate was smooth and dippable.
mmmmmmmmm, if I look at this post one more time I'm going to have to go buy some strawberries!
