Try this book

I just finished reading the best book.
Big thanks to Angie for recommending it:

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

It was one of those books that I couldn't put down. It got my heart racing at times and was very touching at others. LOVED IT. Now, it's not the time of book that I thought I would enjoy. It's a vampire romance intended for Young Adults. Vampire Romance???? That sounds disgusting. But it's not bloody or gory and I think it would be rated PG if it were a movie.

When I first started reading it, I liked it, but didn't love it. It took me a little while for the characters to become endearing. But I was so bummed when the story end. I wasn't ready to stop being involved in the lives of Bella and Edward. AND, they included the first chapter of the sequel, New Moon, at the end of Twilight, which was just cruel. It left me hanging at a crucial moment! So, my sweet husband went out on Monday and bought New Moon for me and I'm already about halfway through that.

If any of you read this, I'd love to hear if you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Now I've got to get back to New Moon. I have a few more minutes before Whit wakes up from her nap. :)

I think this book was featured in some alumni magazine we got recently - BYU or UVSC (neither of us went to UVSC, we just keep getting their alumni magazine for some reason!) - the author is LDS. She had a dream about this one night and started writing a book about it the next day - I was curious about it, but this is the first "review" I've heard. Might just have to go find it!

Sounds interesting....I might have to borrow it when I am done with my current book The Secret Life of Bees. Oh no wait...I still need to read Harry Potter first! Maybe after that!

I love getting reccommendations of books to read because most of the time I just walk around the book store for hours and can't decide what to get! Thanks Andrea!

I love getting books suggestions! I'll definitely have to read it and I'll let you know what I think. I read The Hiding Place because of you and loved it.

I'm glad you liked it. So far it's been the favorite book my ward book club has read. Always happy to make suggestions! I think I might do a blog post here soon about my favorite books--when I have some time.

I read this book a few months ago and I thought it was amazing. I had to go buy the second book as soon as I was done with the first one and I've already preordered the third one. I think everyone woman in my neighborhood has read and loved these books. Even my mother-in-law, mom, and sister loved them. You have to go to Stephenie Meyer's website for all the outtakes.

Yeah, I read the first one (so did Tom)I is a quick read, you just can't put it down! I was disappointed with the rushed ending, but hope that I will feel better after reading the second one. I have another book you might be interested in...I haven't finished reading it so I will wait to recommend it, but it is good so far.
