Why didn't I think of that sooner?

I figured out a way to work the system. Whit can have great looking patches and I don't have to spend as much time drawing them. What's my secret?

I find images on the web and print them out!
How cool is that?
Here we have an assortment of princesses.

It still takes some time to print out a sample page, tape the patches to it, run it through the printer a second time, and color them. But it's still less time consuming than drawing them myself. Too bad I have such a low quality printer, or I could just print them out in color. I guess that could get expensive, though. We go back to see Dr. Buckley at the end of this month. Maybe we can be done with this patching business for a while. *fingers crossed*

What a good mom! Elena is 7 and patches all-day during school. Only hers is a cloth patch over her glasses. She hates it, and I hate to make her do it. But the Dr says even though we feel like the bad guys, we are good moms for doing it! Hopefully someday our kids will understand and agree!

So cute! I'm sure Whitney *almost* doesn't mind wearing them when they have such fun things printed on them!

Andrea - How adorable! You are so innovative! I love the tinkerbell design - you are such a good artist though, I hope you also keep up with your talent (although I hope you don't have to patch as much in the future and can keep on your talent by, oh I don't know, sprucing up the occasional bandaid :).
Love,
Mom Sweat

Dear Mrs. Sweat,

You tell Mr. Bernard J. Sullivan you're not afraid of him. You have a good lawyer/judge in your extended family.

I keep meaning to ask you if you guys have read the picture book about the little girl who has to patch her eye? It involved a princess and a pirate, I think. I was totally going to remember the title for ya, and of course, now I can't. I even went through my "history" on my library acct. I will ask E tomorrow what it was...she'll probably remember!

Too funny - your comments.

SWEET idea to print off pics onto the patches. I'm impressed you've lined them up right and all. Very cute.

Love the 40 questions - or I should say, love your answers.

Hope you are having a great week.

Andrea-

I don't even know you (although I came to your wedding.) I'm a friend of Andrew's from forever and I have to say that I have been reading your blog and am so impressed by you. However, the patch thing is awesome! Every kid deserves a mom like you and hopefully, the rest of us can work harder to be like you. Holy Cow!

Rebekah--you are so sweet. You're making me blush. :) Thanks for checking out the blog. Your name is very familiar from Andrew's West Valley City days.
