Highly anticipated new addition

We've been anxiously awaiting...
spent lots of time and energy...
and we're happy to announce that....

We finally found a new couch!
What do you think?
(Brandon was home sick from school today.
That explains his PJ's in the middle of the day.)

We LOVE it. We thought we were looking for a sofa and love seat and hadn't found what we wanted. (At least not in our price range.) We tried SO many furniture stores. Andrew finally found this sectional and we both agreed it would be great. We borrowed a truck last night and got it set up. It's so fun. Now I want to have a party at my house and see how many people we can fit on it! Any predictions?

In other news, we have also been highly anticipating another new addition to our family. And we found out yesterday that we can expect to meet that addition sometime around April 26th.

Yep, I'M PREGNANT with our third baby.
Yippee! I'm just barely 7 weeks along and have a feeling they will move that due date to early May. (That always happens to me!) I don't feel pregnant yet. No morning sickness or anything. That's NOT a complaint, simply an observation. I'm sure it will be here soon enough.

The best part was when we sat the kids down and told them we had something important and exciting to tell them. Brandon said, "We're going to Chuck E. Cheese?" No, try again. "A flat screen TV? A Wii? Guitar Hero?" Where does he come up with this stuff? Whitney's guess: "A frosty?" They were both excited to hear that they'll have a new brother or sister next year, though probably not as excited as they would've been over a Wii or Guitar Hero. Brandon insists that it be baby brother.

Yeah! A grandma's dream come true - another grandbaby! The couch is nice too! We love our sectionals. We have a new one in our living room too. I predict 6 adults comfortably and at least 12 kids. :) Hey, maybe you won't get morning sickness this time in which case maybe its twins! Just joking!

So Exciting!!!! Furniture AND a baby! And I love that Whitney thought a frosty was important and exciting. I just love kids- who else would figure that out? Congradulations!

Congratulations! Boy or girl, that's great news.
The sectional looks great. Since we are from a generation that remembers contests to see how many college students can cram into a Volkswagen Beetle or into a phone booth, we predict your sectional could easily accommodate about 175.
Love to the five of you.

Hee hee! I am so ready to welcome Shelley Sweat to the world. Wait, since I didn't actually end up babysitting Whit I guess I don't get naming privileges. Oh well. Glad the doctor's appointment worked out so well! Can't wait to see you pregnant!!!!!!!!!! (there's not enough exclaimation points on the end of that sentence...)

Woohoo!! Congrats on the new baby AND the new couch!! I'm excited for you guys on both accounts:) We're couch shopping right now, too and its a pain! I can't tell what that couch is covered in -- is it leather or like a microfiber or something? It'll be perfect for lounging around with your big pregnant belly!!

When Drew called us on the cell phone yesterday I KNEW something was up! Drew + Calling on the Cell Phone = Big News. Congrats, congrats. I'm so excited for you guys. I think it should be a boy, though, so Wyatt can have one more cousin to play with. Plus, it would keep the Eli/Jack/Wyatt boy streak alive on the Sweat side. But a girl would be spectacular as well. Yay!

Grandma and Grandpa Sweat add our soaring excitement and congratulations and will never forget the way you told us - i.e., when we all 6 of us travel in your van on when we come to visit you, it will be a little crowded because one more person will be riding with us :)

Congratulations to you and lucky child #3 :)
Love,
Grandma and Grandpa Sweat

Sandy--It's a microfiber sectional. We have a chair that's made out of the exact same material and have been happy with it for the past couple of years.
