My latest project

I loved to hear what bugged everyone. Thanks for sharing. You guys have some good ones!

Since moving Whitney into her new room, her walls have been completely bare. We had to do something about that. I made an attempt at being creative and painted these:

What do you think?

I'm happy with the way they turned out. I bought letter stencils for the words and printed a paisley off the internet and fashioned into a home-made stencil for the embellishment. They add a little flair to her walls. Very fun.

Andrew and I went out for our Valentine's date this weekend. We went the traditional route--a nice dinner. We got reservations at one restaurant. But then when we got there found out that we'd still have a 30 minute wait, even with the reservation. What's up with that? Why take a reservation if you don't really mean it? It was annoying. We walked out and found a yummy Japanese restaurant right down the street. Our waitress was a really cute middle-aged Asian woman. I think she had a crush on Andrew. She told him, "I'll give you a special price on that dish." and kind of winked at him. Usually Andrew teases me that he can't let me out on the town alone, but now I'm thinking I better keep my eye on HIM. :)

Lovebirds

Whitney has her appt with Dr. Buckley this afternoon. Hope it goes well. I think her eyes have been looking well-aligned lately. I really hope he agrees. I'll keep you posted.

You need to add "making reservations and still having to wait" to your list of things that bug you. (-:
The restaurant we went to on Valentine's I called to make a reservation and they laughed at me. They said I don't need a reservation for just two people and then we had to wait about 20 min.
I like what you painted. What did you paint them on? For some reason I'm not very good at doing stuff with stencils. I tried making a "Families are Forever" sign on some wood blocks and they turned out terrible, so good job!

Hey Andrea,

Cool pictures! I bet Whitney loves them. You are so creative. Oh, I did finally get around to checking those dates for you...it looks like we are definately out of town for David's work retreat. Sorry :(. We would love to any other time though! Keep us in mind! Hope things are going well.

What we want to know is if the guy who was behind the cash register flirted with you, Andrea.
You two are NOT a "cute couple"...
you are a couple of movie stars; I've yet to see a "bad" picture of either of you.

Does the reservation thing remind you of the following?

Jerry: I don't understand, I made a reservation, do you have my reservation?

Agent: Yes, we do, unfortunately we ran out of cars.

Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation.

Agent: I know why we have reservations.

Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody
can just take them.
